I kind of miss playing the Flute.
Even though it has been two years since i last touched this instrument called the Flute, I would never forget the first feeling of blowing the tune right. I enjoyed every moment i tuned in and got the right pitch. I might have not been the greatest player but i definitely love the feel of music that flows through my flute. Ever since i was in Secondary One in WDLS, Flute has brought me into a new level in music. I learnt to read notes which i never learnt before. I studied tempos, i learnt how to be accurate in counting my beats, i learnt how tuning sounds like, i learnt how to sing in tune with the tunes given. Through WDLS Concert Band, i've learnt a lot of things. This band might not have been the best band in all Secondary Schools in Singapore, but definitely, without my experience and my memories with this band, i wouldn't have learnt how to enjoy music.
I wouldn't forget the first 3 ladies who had taught me how to play the flute with the right ambrochure. Without them, i wouldn't have known the first few notes, beats and whatever there is. Throughout my five years in WDLS, i have played the flute, enjoyed playing it. Every time i was upset, and i had band sessions, the flute hears my heart. Every sorrow i had, i flow it through my music. I practiced hard enough that sometimes i get dizzy. And most good musicians says that when u get dizzy some times, it's fine because you're working hard on it. Well, i enjoyed the scoldings, enjoyed the teachings that i got from the people around me. I enjoyed the drills sessions with WDLS concert band even though some times we do F up on things and i never got tired of it. LIAR. Hah. I do get tired some days when i'm down and i was scolded but thinking back, it's all good memories. It's those little things in life that makes you a happy person in the future.
I do remember, that spot where we flutist would pick during sectionals. And behind us sometimes, the NCC boys would be doing their drills. Well of course in Sec School i have my own crush. My crush, he was in NCC. And yeah, when i got upset with him, i would stare at him and play my music. That's how my music flows.
In RP, i did joined RPWS for a year (?) i can't remember. I had to stop due to the clash between Studio IG and Work and school and RPWS. So yeah, between interest and future, i had to choose my future of course. And here i am missing all the moments playing music. Well, i do have a keyboard at home.. but it isn't as great as playing that little silver-shiny looking long flute.. and piccolo not to forget.. One day, i'll join a band again .. if i ever get to .. sigh..
